]-[Entry 3: The Parade] by Xeck Jovan-[

It's been a few days since the last time I was able to enter my thoughts into my journal. The process to recovering the scrambled data hasn't been completed. Still, in between work sessions with the holo-interface, me and my Krewe have gotten together several times to discuss recruitment. It would be bold to continue on with just the three of us and some other Krewe's researches helping out. But the possibility of completing any future project would be scarce. On the second day since my last entry, me and my two friends met up to discuss ways to attract more members. It was an simple morning in the Lab, which isn't a good thing considering that our project was at a standstill. Zazag posed a question while me and Crim gathered around his desk, "Well Krewemates, we know we have a problem with numbers in our Krewe. As for a solution to this problem, do either of you have ideas for making our Krewe seems attractable?"

Crim and I took a few minutes to think on the situation,

"We definitely should communicate what our Krewe is all about. And with more of a reputation we'll be able to accept assistances by the boatload", Crim said first, "But there are a lot of Krewes to compete with." I was still silently listening when an answer struck inside my head. Zazag nodded at Crim's response and looked at me to see if I had any say in the matter,

"Well, Xeck, do you have any ideas?"

"Yes", I murmured faintly, "The research I did in Divinity's Reach involved a survey, and in order to get the attention of the human bookahs, I used technicolor fireworks to attract attention.... what if we do so for today. What if we can hold a public parade and hold a parade every few weeks. I bet if we can engrave a recruitment parade event into the minds of every living Asuran in Rata Sum, we could make it a tradition! Think of the assistants who would line up after getting a glimpse of what we can do? We can have a few of our inventions working live during the parade and such-", and with that I had to stop myself. I could see Zazag and Crim staring at me in a sort of disbelieving, yet in-awe look. Zazag waited for a moment then put forth a pretty good point,

"Well then, how should we pull off this parade? There's only the three of us, and we don't have.... working inventions as of late to show off." This was a good point. I thought about what would happen if we just tried it,

"We should test it out anyway, like testing out a hypothesis." Crim seemed to support my idea,

"I think Xeck has a point, it would be interesting to see how this plays out."

So this crazy idea was actually put to the test. Zazag agreed  to the idea as well, and I had shown him and Crim where we could get fireworks in Rata Sum. Out of all the innovators out there, some Asuran had more or less entertainment-oriented discoveries in mind. The man who made the fireworks is a genius of material combustion and thermo-alchemical properties. Soon me and my two Krewe mates were standing at a corner platform in Rata Sum, fireworks in hand.

The plan was, as it turned out, a success! We were able to attract attention from many different Asura in Rata Sum. As we walked towards the main accounting plaza fireworks shot off in a bright, multi-colored spectacle! I excitedly shouted along the way, "Looking for a Krewe? Join the exciting Applied Alchemagery Krewe today!" Many more lines were shouted from my mouth, and by the end of the parade, when we made a stop in front of the Black Lion Trade Post, we had been accompanied by an Asuran named Toar-O and a mute Charr. We showed the simple group the lab and included them into the Krewe. At the time the Charr seemed out of place, but we decided he could help out the Krewe if we needed the muscle.

Soon more recruits were coming in, including a young girl named Skisir, who had traveled from the Norn Lands to see Rata Sum for the first time.

The process of getting recruits in and transferring them to assistant positions took a lot of work. We introduced Skisir to several tasks that were apart of the Krewe's agenda. She completed the tasks set before here easily, except for an operation that called for replacing weather nodes that were located on nearly impossible to reach floating platforms.

With the recruitment training we were able to deduce a way to properly process recruits who had little to no experience in a Krewe.

But I digress, I really must finish up this decoding, which has been an ailment to my motivation for a long time.
